Philip Johnson’s Glass House located in New Canaan, CT has been an inspiration for us here at Studio Hill since the beginning. The Glass House was built in 1948-49 and is now one of the most historic house museums here in CT. The house is a very early example of the use of industrial materials such as glass and steel in home design.
